243-foot-tall redwood (he didn't fall), and gone one-on-one
with Muhammad Ali (he didn't flinch).
His

From
July 2001 until June 2003, he was president of The American Society of Journalists
and Authors, a trade association of 1,100 nonfiction
freelance writers. He lives in Norfolk, Virginia.
